Summary:碩士 === 國防大學理工學院 === 電子工程碩士班 === 104 === In this thesis, a variety of novel multiband LTE/WWAN excitor antennas suitable to be mounted along the hinge of the ultrabook computer with metal housing is presented. The design technique on achieving decreased excitor antenna size with good antenna efficiency is efficiently exciting the resonant modes of the hinge slot which is formed by metal sheets notebook display and keyboard panels. The first design is a two-branch monopole antenna integrated with the hinge slot to enhance the bandwidth to cover eight-band LTE/WWAN operation in a size of 35×8 mm2. The second excitor antenna comprises a feeding strip and a folded strip. By increasing the coupling section between the open-end’s length of the folded strip and the keyboard panel, the fundamental resonant mode of the hinge slot also can be excited with a decreasing excitor antenna size. The second excitor antenna can cover LTE/WWAN operation with a small-size of 25×8 mm2. The third excitor antenna comprises a feeding strip and an inductive shorted strip. By embedding a proper chip inductor in the shorted strip, the fundamental resonant mode of the hinge slot also can be excited to cover the eight-band LTE/WWAN operation.
