The purposes of this study include: 1) understand the motivations of these volunteers; 2) figure out the Service-Learning ways of these volunteers; 3) realize the challenges and corresponding strategies for the Service-Learning; 4) explore the improvement of these volunteers’ abilities; 5) Provide the research results for the elders and related education institutes. We adopted the case study for the elderly volunteers of HoChi Universal Love Foundation for Culture and Education. The interview outline was designed based on the observations and literatures analysis. After approved by seven volunteers, they were independently interviewed deeply. In addition to making, analyzing and interpreting the transcripts, we also compared the results with the literatures. Finally, we concluded: 1.The motivations of the elderly volunteers of HoChi Universal Love are various. The main motivation is to help others, followed by to improve themselves. 2.Obtaining the skill for helping others broadens the horizon of the volunteers for Service-Learning, and their motivations result in positive feedback. 3.The main service of the elderly volunteers of HoChi Universal Love is to assist the life education. The second service is to take care of those who are on their deathbeds and to assist the funerals. 4.The learning ways of the elderly volunteers of HoChi Universal Love Foundation for Culture and Education are various. The main ways are to participate in the courses of the Foundation and continuously Cultivation, Practice, Service, Intention. 5.The volunteers always take advantages of the power of the team to help learn. Furthermore, the up-to-date tools, such as skype and line, are used as the platform to share the information about Cultivation, Practice, Service, Intention. 6.The main challenge encountered by the volunteers is that the service from the volunteers was rejected so that they adopted attitude adjustment and continuously cared those in need. 7.The improvement and changes of the volunteers include physical and spiritual aspects, dividing into seven categories: health improvement, skills enhancement, arrangements at their elderly stages, amelioration of the relationship with families, flipping thinking, self-awareness, and selfless love. 8.The beneficial development of the elderly volunteers due to the service includes health care, self-acceptance, satisfaction at caring others, and rebuilding the relationship with families. Finally, according to the conclusion of the above research, we provide several suggestions for the elderly education related institutes, HoChi Universal Love Foundation for Culture and Education, the elders, and the follow-up researchers.
