However, most of the people of Taiwan can not agree, due to Taiwan in an important strategic position in the Western Pacific island chain, with regard to the development of cross-strait relations point of view, but limited by the external environment, especially in the US is very big, hopes Taiwan contain China, thus resulting in the Taiwan issue more complicated and sensitive. 2009 US President Barack Obama after he took office, to remind Taiwanese President Ma Ying-jeou to develop and promote friendly relations between the two sides, thus increasing the constructive and cooperative relations and derive benefit from the other side. In this way, the Obama administration and from Taiwan's interests to get across, and then to strengthen relations with Taiwan's political, economic, trade and arms sales, etc., which the United States is the best interests of the beneficiaries, I study the United States mainly due to the delicate Taiwan trilateral relations. In this study, which will be the Obama administration's Taiwan policy for the study of the core, with the establishment of international relations theory analysis framework to explore the impact of the US government's Taiwan policy formulation process; in addition to Kenneth N. Waltz Analytic Hierarchy view, from "International structural level system," three levels "national political level" and "the level of state leaders," and other factors analysis to develop the Obama administration's policy toward Taiwan. Therefore, the United States and Taiwan to explore extending trilateral follow trends, and the impact on cross-strait situation of China's peaceful rise. Confined Obama administration to establish a number of principles and policies across the Taiwan Strait, Beijing and Taiwan's attitude will be individually discussed. However, the US government wants to maintain the status quo across the Taiwan Strait, to maintain the status quo must be peaceful and stable development, if there is "Taiwan independence" and "armed conflict", will face an awkward dilemma. Therefore, the need for cross-strait relations the United States, China and Taiwan, but also have the greatest consensus among the three parties in order to promote stable peace. Conversely, tense cross-strait relations are not in line with the fundamental interests of both sides. To resolve cross-strait issues on both sides of the key still lies. Research on the Obama administration's policy toward Taiwan will help us more clearly understand the current situation and forecast the future direction of US policy toward Taiwan, in order to develop the corresponding foreign policy, to the achievement of national interests of Taiwan has great Significance.
