碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 資訊工程研究所 === 103 === With the rapid development of social networks, data visualisation is a very important issue. It can help users to search meaningful information of data comfortably. Motivated by aesthetics and functionalities of users which are popular in graph drawing, we introduce some methods to improve radial graph layout. The goal is to supply users some operations which they may interest. We transform an input graph data into a radial tree graph and select a better spanning tree by greedy heuristic algorithms. We use aesthetic metrics to verify our experimental results and show the effectiveness. The experimental results show that the improvements are significant.
