Description
Summary:碩士 === 中華科技大學 === 航空機械系飛機系統工程碩士班 === 103 === During the operation of Jet transport aircraft, it is very difficult to avoid the influence of atmospheric turbulence in flight. The transport aircraft in flight is subjected to atmospheric turbulence resulting in rapidly varying aerodynamic and flight dynamic characteristics. These varying characteristics not only pose threats to flight safety, but also may cause structural damages and reduce fatigue life. Since the sudden plunging motion frequently causes injuries to passengers and crew members, it is important to determine the flight dynamic mechanism that induce the motions. The main objective of this thesis is to present a comparative analysis of flight dynamic mechanism based on the flight data of FDR (Flight Data Recorder) for two similar twin-jet transports in severe atmospheric turbulence with sudden plunging motion in transonic flight. The flight dynamic mechanism of plunging motion for these two transports can be presented obviously in flight trajectory reconstructions. The results are analyzed to provide the mitigation concepts and promote the understanding of aerodynamic responses of the transport aircraft in severe atmospheric turbulence.
