Summary:碩士 === 中華科技大學 === 航空機械系飛機系統工程碩士班 === 103 === A reliability-based multibit-flipping decoding algorithm which is according the parity checksums in each iteration is proposed for low-density parity-check(LDPC) codes. The multibit-flipping criterion is devised based on the least reliable positions and then voting criterion is used to find and flip bits which are higher than average number of votes. The proposed algorithm is derived theoretically from the Belief-Propagation decoding algorithm. In addition, an early stopping criterion was also proposed to reduce the number of decoding iterations for avoiding divergence or oscillate state. The proposed decoder can converge faster and provide better performances than the conventional weighted bit-flipping and multibit-flipping decoders. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can reduce significantly the number of decoding iterations and therefore improve the error performance to achieve a good balance between performance and complexity.
