In 1994, the first conference on Enneagram was held in the United States,and Enneagram was no longer a mysterious belief, but became a formal and popular science then. About five years ago, I came to the cross road of my life, but I finally worked it out and discovered myself a lot after I studied Enneagram. Indeed, it strongly change my philosophy of life and views of value. Furthermore, I also realized that we are obviously lack of understanding about Enneagram in Taiwan. Therefore, I decide to choose it as my topic to study. The purpose of this research was trying to explore the feed-back, introspection and experience of participants after enrolling the Enneagram workshop. This research took qualitative research method, and the in-depth interview has been taken for data collection by purposive sampling. There were seven participants interviewed, and the data were encrypted the code to establish the writing documents, which have been analyzed and sorted by thematic analysis. Following, the hermeneutic phenomenology was adopted as the paradigm. Gradually, we could generalize five topics from the data to explain the inside meanings behind the phenomenon about enrolling the Enneagram workshop. The data have been analyzed and sorting by thematic analysis. The results showed the participants had emulated to acknowledge themselves belong to which personality and developed strategy for self-improvement by using the personal panel. There were five main descriptions of personality been found:“motive of enrolling”, “emotional experiences”, “apply practice by learning”, “self comprehensive” and “applying predicament”. In the disposition factor; participants’ motives of enrolling are that they feel interested in Enneagram, and they want to discover other people and themselves by studying it, and therefore, most of them were recommended to enroll. Participants can realize that the tutor focuses on questioning and leading participants to think and feel their own inside world. These experiential classes in workshop make participants discover their types with open attitudes. The participants adjusted their old cognitive and attitude after participating Enneagram workshop, willing to understand and accept others, and enhance self confidence, to achieve the ultimate goal ; personality improvement.
