Description
Summary:碩士 === 中華大學 === 營建管理學系碩士班 === 103 === In recent years, each country has been devoted to improving students’ physical activity, promoting national physical health and increase national competitiveness. In Taiwan, obesity rate of children and adolescents is 26.8% and physical fitness also falls behind the neighboring Asian countries. During class time and breaks, enough activity space can contribute to students’ physically and mentally sound development and providing sufficient sport space and equipment. There is still room for improvement to push through the limitation in various factors. This study aims to discuss senior students’ actual use and satisfaction towards school sport field facilities in elementary schools of Taichung City, and analyze the differences in different background variables. This study adopted questionnaire method and senior students in elementary schools of Taichung City were used as research subjects which were sampled with stratified cluster sampling method. The obtained data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, Chi-square test, T test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson product-moment correlation. The research results showed that 91% senior students in elementary schools of Taichung City have the habit of using sport field facilities to do sport, in which 69% students use facilities during class time. School size has significant difference in “opening measures cognition”, “usage time”, “most frequently-used facilities in P.E. class”, and “reuse willingness”. Gender has significant difference on “usage times”, “usage time”, “number of partners”, “frequency of usage after class”, “degree of having fun”, and “reuse willingness”. Grade has significant difference in “usage times every week”, and “frequency of usage after class”. The usage satisfaction falls in from general to satisfaction. School size has significant difference in usage satisfaction of “gymnasium or sports ground”. Gender has significant difference in usage satisfaction of “track and field” and “outdoor court”. Grade has significant difference in usage satisfaction of “gymnasium or sports ground”. The outdoor requirements for improvement are long distance from classroom, being affected by climate, too crowded, too small in activity space, and insufficient quantity. The indoor requirements for improvement are long distance from classroom, too small in activity space, unsafe with few people, insufficient light, and not open. It is expected to provide reference for relevant personnel so as to provide the ideal campus sports environment.
