碩士 === 中央警察大學 === 行政管理研究所 === 103 === Abstract Because of crime prevention and maintenance of public order is the main responsibility of police, how to use the minimal resources and make the maximum effectiveness, has become one of the long-term target of police units. The setting, planning and execution of Patrol box has been followed for years. Patrol box's basic setup principle is based on problem-oriented policies, through the locations of the incidence of cases, and the map of "hot spot area" of the season made by district police station, then reported and inspect of the review to the police station regularly. They expected through the setting and planning of the Patrol box, deploying police force on crime hot spots effectively, to engage in criminal investigation and against and prevent the crime has become a tendency towards Police policy. The study is to research the performance of Patrol box setting and executing, the mainly topic include The Third Precinct (mordern city type), The Heping Precinct (mountainous type), The Qingshui Precinct (harbor type) and The Taiping Precinct (village type) in Taichung City Government Police Department. The research purpose is to realize the situation of the patrol box features in police station. Through make interviews with the staff who participated in Patrol box's setting and planning, this study analyzed the results, the respondents's interviews will enable the effectiveness of crime prevention and combating , and the current situation of crime hotspots with patrol box planning and layout. In this study, all of twelve respondents have actually involved in Patrol box planning, setup, and implementation, including the station director, deputy director and senior police sergeant, etc.. Through analysis the interview data, trying to make construction of the theoretical basis of this study, and make the conclusions of this study much with both validity and reliability.
