Summary: | 碩士 === 建國科技大學 === 土木與防災研究所 === 103 === Tall buildings in Taiwan stand erect one after another in many big cities since 1990. There are 85-story TUNTEX building and 58-story Changku Construction Building in Kaohsiung, south Taiwan. There are two 42-story buildings of Da An Construction Company, King Building and International Building, in Taichung, central Taiwan. There is the 58-story Shinkong Building in front of Taipei railway station in Taipei, north Taiwan. Later, there is TAIPEI 101 Building. There are too many to enumerate.
The dig depths of foundations of these big buildings are all more than 20 meters. It is very dangerous. Therefore, the construction safety and accident prevention measures become relatively important. The dig mode of building foundation is nothing but top-down construction method or a special technique. Then, subdivide the dig area. Follow above method to reduce accidents. This research was made based on three catastrophe cases and the experiences or the formula established by professionals. The research had verified the main failure factors of these three cases –(1) Taipei Si n YI Project Zone of Jimei Construction Company, (2) Broadway Construction Site of Li Ba Construction Company in Shih Lin District, Taipei, where the land bulged to damage the building, and (3) Chunghua Si Wei Street where the land floated because the rainfall was neglected before construction.
This article attaches importance to the actual cases, probes the safety issue on deep foundation dig, and proposes a resolution. It provides the construction industry with referential material when they design or build a building so as to reduce construction accidents and loss. In consideration of the shortage on accident historical data, I, therefore, bring up this report, and hope it will attract more people to discuss this matter.
