Summary:碩士 === 建國科技大學 === 機械工程系暨製造科技研究所 === 102 === Owing to the requirements of precision and miniaturization of equipments and machine where the worm and worm gear are used as the transmission mechanisms, the precision of the worm and worm gear play an important role in the future. Accordingly, we design and assemble a running-in machine for the adjustment of new worm gears and worm, and improving the precision before performance. The four parameters, pressure, rotational speed, duration of rotation and the application of lubricants, can be varied preliminarily to observe the effect of the parameters on the precision of worm gear after running-in by the machine. Besides, the running-in machine could also offer as test frame for design and analysis of worm gear. The results show that the running-in machine is helpful to raise the precision of worm gear, and the appropriate choices of parameters will raise the variation of backlash up to 80%. The optimal parameters was chosen after the employment of Taguchi method. The optimal results is with the maximal variation of backlash, 87.9%, comparing with the original experimental sets.
