Description
Summary:碩士 === 中原大學 === 化學研究所 === 103 === This dissertation consists two parts, the first one deals the synthesis and characterization of three new metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) which are formulated as follows, [Al(OH)(TDC)] ......................... (1) [Ga(OH)(TDC)] ........................ (2) [In(OH)(TDC)] .......................... (3) where H2TDC = 2,5-thiophenedicarboxylic acid. The new MOFs have been preliminarily characterized using power X-ray diffraction (PXRD) measurements and elemental analysis. Field emission scanning electron microscopy has been used to analyze the crystal morphology and particle size of the new MOFs. The thermal properties of the MOFs were evaluated with aid of thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Moreover, the N2, CO2, H2, and CH4 gas sorption properties of the new MOFs have been investigated. The final part of the dissertation explains the effect of HCl addition on the properties of the new aluminium MOF, 1. The Al-MOF has been synthesized as described in part 1 with extra addition of HCl (0 ~ 14 mmol) in different proportions. The resulting Al-MOF samples have been analyzed using the techniques as mentioned above and the role of HCl addition on the properties of the Al-MOF has been evaluated.
