Description
Summary:碩士 === 朝陽科技大學 === 應用化學系 === 103 === (Z)-12-Tetradecenyl acetate :(E)-12-Tetradecenyl acetate =3:1 is the optimum formula for the synthetic sex pheromone of Ostrinia furnacalis, with the advantages of high attractiveness, low cost, and easy to manufacture. In Taiwan, the synthetic Ostrinia furnacalis sex pheromone has been mainly used for pest monitoring rather than mass trapping, since wing-type traps are costly and disposable. This research reports an economical and effective technique of disruption, using traces of either (Z)-12-Tetradecenyl acetate or (E)-12-Tetradecenyl acetate dispensed in polyethylene microtube to suppress the male in the corn field. Results showed the male suppression rates for (Z)-12-Tetradecenyl acetate and (E)-12-Tetradecenyl acetate are 92%〜100% and 96%〜100% at the dosage of 40mg∕1000m2, respectively. Further investigation and application in such technique is recommended in order to achieve pesticide-free pest control.
