Description
Summary:碩士 === 大葉大學 === 教育專業發展研究所 === 103 === The goal of this survey was to explore the drawing creativity of second graders in an elementary school by using appreciation teaching on picture books. The researcher taught the students how to appreciate a picture based on the lines, circles, and colors and so on. Then, the researcher would teach the students to draw their own interested themes. This action research started on Oct. 20, and ended on Dec. 12, 2014, with the total of eight weeks. By examining all the optical elements in the picture books, the researcher intended to design a useful teaching plan for the elementary students. The researcher and colleagues reviewed the teaching results from those students’ drawings and feedbacks, observation records, and reflection of all involved teachers. The results of this study could be listed as follows: 1. By teaching students with picture book appreciation, the researcher successfully built up students’ aesthetic sense and drawing creativity. 2. From the feedbacks of the students, the researcher found that this teaching method could enhance students’ interest in arts. 3. From the scores of the drawing tests, it is obvious that most students were benefited from this teaching in terms of originality and flexibility. 4. The results from pre and post tests showed that this curriculum could improve children's painting creativity. In conclusion, the results and suggestions could be used as a reference for elementary school art classes.
