The zinc, vanadium, chromium, manganese, iron, cobalt, nickel and copper were used as second element added into the RuSe-based electrocatalyst arrays. The scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDX) and high-resolution X-ray diffraction analyzer (HRXRD) were used to analyze the surface morphology, elemental composition and crystalline of catalysts. Linear sweep voltammetry, rotating ring-disk electrode (RRDE) and tafel curves analyses were used to determine the initial potential, electron transfer number and kinetic parameters for ORR. Results show that Ru6Fe4Sex, Ru5Co5Sex, Ru5Ni5Sex, Ru6Cu4Sex, Ru6Zn4Sex, Ru7V3Sex, Ru9Cr1Sex and Ru5Mn5Sex have high activity for ORR. Among the catalysts in the work, the Ru5Co5Sex catalyst possesses the best ORR activity. The electron transfer number of RuSe-based electrocatalysts was close 4.
