The compound (3) is synthesized from compound (1) 2-N,N-[methyl(2-hydro- xymethyl)aminoethyl]phenol (mhaepH2) ligand and Mn(ClO4)2·6H2O. The dc magnetic susceptibility and reduced magnetization revealed that compound (3) has S = 6, D = -0.17 cm-1, E = -0.01 cm-1, g = 1.89 and J = 3.72 cm-1. The compound (4) and (5) are synthesized from compound (2) 2-[N,N-di(2-hydroxyethyl)aminomethyl]phenol (heampH3) ligand, Mn- (ClO4)2·6H2O and NaClO4.H2O or LiClO4. The compound (4) and (5) are composed of one NaI or LiI as a centere which surrounding by a hexagon consisted by six MnIII.
