Bach drew from different music style across sacred music, vocal, choral works, and also instrumental music. He is considered the most magnificent composer of all time and still amazes musicians today. What interests the writer most is his instrumental solos. The main aim of this research is to in-depth exploration the music style of the era of Baroque and features of the form of suite by means of analyzing and interpreting a fantastic work “Partita in G Minor for Oboe Solo, BWV1013”; furthermore, it allows the performers to elaborate efforts to reconstruct the music style of the era of Baroque by understanding its unique background. During the era of Baroque, dance music is not for dancing anymore. It further provides a sense of admiration as a specific music style while performed. Baroque suites are usually composed by Allemande, Courante, Sarabande and Gigue. Yet sometimes different tunes would be included like this suite. It consists of the original forms of Allemande, Courante and Sarabande with additional English Bourée. There are six chapters in the thesis. Chapter one is an introduction that illustrates the motivation and purpose of the study. Chapter two highlights writer’s background, his composer works, and music style. Chapter three focuses on the definition and the development of Baroque suites. Chapter four and five are the analysis of the structure, theme, and technique of Partita in G Minor for Oboe Solo, BWV1013 to have better interpretation of this piece and so on to achieve its goal of study. Last but not least, the last chapter will be the conclusion of this thesis. Through which, readers are more likely to have wider acknowledgement and admiration toward Baroque music, the interpretation of solos and oboe. Chai-Hsuan Tsai 蔡采璇 2015 學位論文 ; thesis 78 zh-TW |

During the era of Baroque, dance music is not for dancing anymore. It further provides a sense of admiration as a specific music style while performed.
