This paper will analyze the behavior of many organizations in traveling sector that have a burning desire for social good. Today social media has a very big impact on the way we live. Essentially, social media influences every single industry including traveling industry. Travel industry is chosen since travel is the number one story shared on Facebook and many other social media platforms. To add, it is one of the biggest industries in modern world. I believe that travel industry can have a huge impact on creating a better world and social media is the key tool that can increase the awareness of responsible traveling. To add, social media has the power to bring communities together so, travellers that are concerned with social good can come together and arrange travels focused on creating a better world by delivering books, shelter and emotional support to the people in need. Also, since people share their views and opinions on social media as well as interact with each other, which can push companies to strive for social good. Society does not like firms that do not care about social wellness. So, we will investigate what organizations, especially in traveling sector are doing in order to benefit education, poverty and other social issues. In this sense, we will understand if social media has the power to add value and power to society. Furthermore, we will talk about the social entrepreneurs behind these organizations in order to understand better what actually they do for social good and why.
