This study explored the different perceptions based on different individual backgrounds and examined the predictability of principals’ servant leadership to teachers’ job involvement. In this study, teachers in public junior high schools in New Taipei City were selected as subjects, and the questionnaire, "New Taipei City Junior High School Principals’ Servant Leadership and Teachers’ Job Involvement Questionnaire" was employed in the research. There are 948 questionnaires to be issued, 857 samples were recovered with 828 valid questionnaires. Data were collected from both questionnaires and were analyzed by means of, standard deviation, t-test, one way ANOVA, Pearson’s production-moment correlation and multiple regression stepwise regression analysis. The results of a statistical analysis indicate that Teachers’ perception about the principals’ servant leadership in junior high schools tended to be positive and was at a high level wherein “love with model” is the highest, and there were significant differences in terms of teachers’ gender, job position and school scale in the perception of principals’ servant leadership. Currently, the job involvement of teachers in New Taipei City tended to be positive and was at a high level wherein “work fun” is the highest. There were significant differences in terms of teachers’ gender, age, degree of education and job position in job involvement. There was moderate positive correlation between the principals’ servant leadership and teachers’ job involvement in New Taipei City. The related degree of "encourage growth" and "job identification" is the highest. The principals’ servant leadership predicts teachers’ job involvement of junior high schools in New Taipei City, which comes to "encourage growth" the most positive predictive power. Based on the study results, educational institutes are suggested to offer courses concerning servant leadership for principals to take; colleges are encouraged to provide teachers with more opportunities enhancing their profession by offering courses and workshops; school principals are anticipated to build up harmonious partnership with colleagues by constantly showing care for the faculty; moreover, as role models, principals should devote themselves to serving the school and developing a friendly campus environment; additionally, principals may invite teachers to be a member of the school administration service, and they may also encourage the adjunct faculty of the school administration service to be versatile or study further in the training program for being a director in reserve. As for teachers, they are expected to give concrete advice or proposals in a decisive meeting; or they may try to take up the position of the adjunct faculty of the school administration service and seek more chances to enhance themselves, which helps broaden their educational visions and strengthens their profession. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between principals’ servant leadership and teachers’ job involvement in junior high schools.
