Summary: | 碩士 === 華梵大學 === 外國語文學系碩士班 === 103 === The combination of technology and language teaching has been implemented for many years. However, it is not common for teachers to apply English online websites, such as shopping websites, to teach English. This study aims to investigate the effect of English online shopping websites as a language learning tool for college students in regard to elevating their motivation and promoting their achievements. For most students in the study, it was the first time to get touch with this teaching approach. They knew how to search for these kinds of online shopping websites, but had no ideas on how use them for learning. They held positive attitudes toward the incorporation of English online websites and English teaching methodology.
In sum, students viewed English online shopping websites as a fresh teaching approach. After the implementation of the teaching process, the students looked forward to accessing other English online websites for learning in the future. It is hoped that the incorporation of English online websites into English teaching can help teachers raise students’ motivation and promote their achievement.
