The opinion of this approach is based on the relationship of continuous bit strings behind in secret image and data compression for hiding more secret data bits and preserving lower distortion. Firstly, a threshold value k was defined to control the hiding capacity and distortion. As the threshold k is a larger number it can hide larger secret messages. On the other hand, the lower the threshold value k is selected, the little distortion it results. A modified triple representation of Run-Length Encoding approach was then deduced from the traditional Run-Length Encoding for larger compression ratio and applied to bitmap image data hiding.
