Using the scale of parental expectations, the scale of health and academic transcripts, we evaluated 357 students at an elementary school in New Taipei City. Statistical methods included descriptive statistics, independent t test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient. The results show as follows: parents have expectation on child's academic performance; however, they seldom contact with the teachers; good parent-child interaction improves psychological and emotional health and enhances academic performance; higher parental expectation negatively affects child’s physical-mental health; the boys are more likely to feel in good health; ;there are significant differences on academic achievements in the group of sex, grade, number of children and socioeconomic status; higher number of children limits the quality of parent-child interaction and learning process. Therefore, some suggestions are provided for practical operations and future study. Luke Yang, Ph.D. 楊立華 2015 學位論文 ; thesis 146 zh-TW |
