Description
Summary:碩士 === 玄奘大學 === 企業管理學系碩士在職專班 === 103 === The purpose of our study is to find the differences among the events of campus security in universities and to know what is major factors affecting campus security. The schools are grouped into three categories, where are located in north, central and south of Taiwan, and the data are collected from 2010 to 2012. Our study uses many methods to test the differences among the events of campus security in universities. It applies one-way MANOVA to do overall test; moreover, we also use pairwise test to verify the differences between samples. Finally, we use stepwise regression to select the main characteristic variables affecting campus security. The empirical results indicate that accidents and disease are major events on campus security. The number of vehicles, the local population and dormitory beds are the significant characteristic variables influencing the events of accident on campus security. This implies that the number of vehicles would not necessarily enhance the accident events. However, the university with the more local population and dormitory beds may raise the events of accident on campus security. In addition, the number of vehicles and crimes are the main characteristic variables affecting the disease events of campus security. That is, the fewer the number of vehicles is in university, the more the disease events is occurring. Furthermore, the university with more the number of crimes in located city would slightly influence the disease events (it will decrease, but the magnitude is not so high). This result is also consistent with the general perception
