Description
Summary:碩士 === 高雄醫學大學 === 天然藥物研究所碩士班 === 103 === Pandanus amaryllifolius Roxb. (Pandanaceae) is a tropical shrub that distributed in South-east Asia and introduced in Taiwan as a cultivated plant from Vietnam in 1980s. In Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia, the plant is popular to be a kind of spices and folk medicine for hyperglycemia treatment, liver protection and tumor growth inhibition. In a previous study, the ethanolic extract of P. amaryllifolius aerial part showed potential antioxidant, anti-biofilm and anti-inflammatory activities. The extract was separated by an acid-base extraction method into EA, CH2Cl2 (alkaloid-rich) and H2O fractions. In this study, seven new compounds were further isolated from the alkaloid-rich fraction, including pandamarines B and C (1 and 2), pandalizines C–E (3–5), and norpandamarilactonines E and F (6 and 7), together with four known compounds. All of structures were elucidated by physical and chemical features as well as spectroscopic analysis. All of Pandanus alkaloids could summarize in four skeletons, including pandamarines 1 and 2, indolizinones 3&;#8210;5, norpandamarilactonines 6&;#8210;9, and pandamarilactams 10 and 11. In nature, alkaloids always play an important role to bioactivity. The functions of Pandanus alkaloids are under investigated.
