Exploring the Attitude and Satisfaction of Outdoor Teaching from Perspectives of Public Elementary School Teachers in Taoyuan District

碩士 === 開南大學 === 觀光運輸學院碩士在職專班 === 103 === This study aims to explore the public elementary school teachers’ attitude and satisfaction toward outdoor teaching in Taoyuan District. The purpose is to (1) comprehend the effects of teacher’s background on their attitude and satisfaction of outdoor teaching and (2) explore the relationship between attitude and satisfaction of outdoor teaching. This study used a stratified random sampling design. Homeroom teachers of public elementary schools in Taoyuan District were surveyed and 475 effective questionnaires were retrieved. Statistical analysis was performed by SPSS 18.0 for Windows with descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, independent samples t-test, one-way ANOVA analysis and Pearson product-moment correlation. The results are as follows: 1.Elementary school teachers own positive attitude toward outdoor teaching. 2.Elementary school teachers had high satisfaction on outdoor teaching. 3.Teachers of different “gender” and “the latest type of outdoor teaching location” showed statistically significant differences in the attitude of outdoor teaching. 4.Teachers of different “gender”, “scale of outdoor teaching” and “the latest type of outdoor teaching location” showed statistically significant differences in satisfaction of outdoor teaching. 5.There is positive correlation between elementary school teachers’ attitude and satisfaction of outdoor teaching in Taoyuan District. Based on the results, the study provides practical suggestions as outdoor teaching reference and application for agencies, government and school teachers.
