Particularly through the assistance of information technology, it can help the enterprise internally and externally maximize the operation efficiency. As such, sufficient and correct information plays an important role in the enterprise decision-making and support system. In this regard, ERP system can offer effective decision-making and support system for solving enterprise resources integration. If the system can be correctly introduced into the enterprise, for enterprise in the management it not only can effectively integrate the enterprise resources, but also may hugely lower its operation cost. Nonetheless, many enterprises when launching ERP system often encounter a lot difficulties and a variety of possible risks, which may lead to system deriving more problems in the time of launch and operation, and even launch failure which may seriously influence an enterprise’s operation. Thus, this study makes use of a case company to explore ERP system launch process, and employs project management approach to trace and revise the ERP launch process in due course. In doing so, it may reduce the risk to the minimum as an enterprise launches ERP system and enhance the operation performance. As the case company launches the project of ERP system, mostly it is often due to human being’s uncertain factors resulting in project delay, which then influences the subsequent implementation of the case company’ project. Among them, particularly it is most serious of the counselors who left the project team in the middle of the road, which often result in project interruption and other problems such as coordination, document missing, and customers’ complaints. To smoothly carry out the project, the case company must instantly compensate the project team members and give them the training. The findings in this study are that using earned value management not only can immediately reflect the project progress to make ERP system more efficient, but also may use the activity-based costing method to lower the cost. Finally, it successfully launched the ERP system.
