Hence, how to increase the overall energy efficiency of the existing equipment will be an important issue. The thesis explores the operation combination of the existing pumping equipment to make them energy saving. Taking Jhu-Zai-Keng pumping station as an example, the thesis first acquires each pumping performance data of the reservoir at different levels. Then, the thesis collates and analyzes those pumping efficiency as the basis of the pump operation schedule. Finally, the efficient combination of the pumping equipment is presented to achieve the effect of saving energy. Jhu-Zai-Keng pumping station has six 300-HP pumps and one 200-HP pump. One of 300-HP pumps driven by an inverter is used for outgoing water regulation. According to the average energy consumption of the whole year, the proposed operation of the existing pumping equipment is verified that it can effectively save energy and reduce the production cost.
