The Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) technique is used to control the three-level inverter and the main core of the control SVPWM is an Arduino Uno (Atmega 328p) controller with Complex Programmable Logic Device (CPLD). In comparison with the traditional two-level one, the three-level inverter is more suitable for the operation in high voltage motor driver and it has the advantage of lower ripple current around the same switching frequency. In this thesis, the theory of the three-level inverter is first discussed and is simulated by using Matlab Simulink software. Then, the motor drive is implemented by the digital control and the practicability of the proposed three-level SVPWM inverter is verified by the experimental results.
