Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄應用科技大學 === 電機工程系博碩士班 === 103 === Health and happy aging are a common goal pursued among older adults. This study investigates the definition of well-being for older adults and proposes an interactive somatosensory game for older adults. By playing the proposed game, older adults can enhance their physical flexibility, hand–eye coordination, sense of achievement, feelings of happiness, and sense of well-being. Consequently, their physical fitness can be improved, achieving the goal of exercising. This study adopts a Kinect somatosensory sensor to develop four types of interactive games: (1) A jumping game, which could augment older adults’ sense of well-being, including their sense of self-satisfaction and self-affirmation. (2) A treasure-catching game, which could strengthen their coordination, agility, and flexibility as well as enable them to relieve their negative emotions. (3) A hide-and-seek game, which could enhance their bodily response and hand–leg flexibility as well as their sense of well-being, including their sense of self-satisfaction and self-affirmation. (4) A tile-matching game, which could improve their responsiveness, ability to make judgments, and physical mobility.
