Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄應用科技大學 === 金融系金融資訊碩士在職專班 === 103 === As a response to the life needs of seniors in an aging society, the government provides application of policy activation under the principle that the insured do not need to increase the premium. The insured can choose to convert their original policy for death insurance to the health insurance needed for elder life ( long-term care insurance included) or annual insurance to optimize life after retirement. However, this is a new concept and practice. In addition to large amount of advocacy and supervision from the government, the applicants should also understand what policy activation is and to carry out evaluation for suitability. This research is based on the procedure of questionnaire survey. The targets of the survey is on the applicants from a salesman of some life insurance company. The statistical analysis is based on descriptive statistics, cross-analysis, logistic regression model, and variance analysis. The empirical results are as follow: In this analysis, gender is the independent variable to analyze the conversion fitness and knowledge of conversion policy by independent-sample t test. The result shows that there are little differences among variables except main sources of income after retirement, the wishing type of room for hospital, and who will take the care.In this analysis, age is the independent variable to analyze the conversion fitness and knowledge of conversion policy by one-way analysis analysis of variance. The result shows that there are little differences among variables except having financial planning after retirement or not, main sources of income after retirement, sufficiency of earning replacement rate, having other medical plans or not, the wishing type of room for hospital, and willing to convert even with sufficient money or not. By logistic regression model, it shows that there are positive correlations between applicants’ knowledge of conversion policy and variables like having financial planning after retirement or not, knowing the conversion policy or not, willing to convert or not, and willing to convert even with sufficient money or not. A total of 4 variables are significant.
