Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄應用科技大學 === 國際企業系碩士在職專班 === 103 === By the influence of both low birth and death rate on current population structure of Taiwan, and appear phenomenon of such as low birth rate and aging population gradually, in addition to that, the popularity of higher education also affects the time of workforce into market.As the consciousness of gender equality is increasing, and leads to more and more double income families. All factors above can influence the supply of workforce in market, and affects to the workforce participation rate in our country. This research is to explore the factors that influence Taiwan workforce participation rate by using time series analysis method from January 1978 to January 2015. Using Unit-Root Test, Co-integration test and Causality test to research the influence of causal relationship among unemployment rate, ratio of male workforce, higher education levels, workforce of elderly (Laborer‘s age from 60 to 64 years old) and workforce participation rate. The research results indicate that 1) positive significant influences do exist among workforce participation rate, unemployment rate, ratio of male workforce, and workforce of elderly; 2) higher education levels have no significant influence to workforce participation rate.
