Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄應用科技大學 === 財富與稅務管理系碩士在職專班 === 103 === The Presbyterian Church (the Church) in Taiwan is a non-profit organization, where volunteer work is the key to the success of its operation. The researcher of this study has been working with the Church for years and found a decline in volunteer participation of younger members in the Church. The study was thus triggered to explore 1) the participation motivation in the volunteer in relation to the organizational commitment of the Church and 2) whether the job satisfaction in volunteer service that comes from the acknowledgement of the Church or the personal belief of the volunteer would enhance the willingness for participation. Volunteer workers in the Church in southern Taiwan (sampled from the Church in the Kaohsiung and Tainan areas and Sin-Lao Presbyterian hospitals in Tainan and Ma Dou) were surveyed. Four hundred questionnaires were distributed, with 278 of effective samples collected (rate of effective response: 69.5%). With the descriptive statistics analysis, the correlation analysis and the regression analysis, it was found that in the Church: 1) volunteer participation motivation has a positive prediction power and is in a positive correlation with job satisfaction, 2) volunteer participation motivation has a positive prediction power and is in a positive correlation with organizational commitment, and 3) volunteer job satisfaction has a positive prediction power and is in a positive correlation with organizational commitment.
