Summary: | 碩士 === 康寧大學 === 資訊傳播研究所 === 103 === The purpose of this study is to realize the status of upper-grade (5th and 6th grade) pupils using Instant Messaging and Well-being, the six factors (positive affection, negative affection, life satisfaction, happiness, positive relations with schoolmate/friend, and positive relations with parents/family) from a frame of Well-being theory by positive psychology, to probe the related and effect of actions mentioned above.
In this study, participants were pupils from the 5th and the 6th grades of public elementary schools in Tainan. The investigative tool was self-made questionnaires on "The research of current situation on upper-grade pupils’ Instant Messaging use and Well-being". The subjects of this study were 623 out of 672 pupils. These questionnaires were systematically studied via descriptive statistics analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s product-moment correlation, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The findings of this study were summarized as follows.
1.The main six Well-being of positive affection, negative affection, life satisfaction, happiness, positive relations with others (schoolmate/friend) and positive relations with others (parents/family), reach to positive significant level when upper-grade pupils using Instant Messaging and Well-being.
2.There is a positive significant effect of positive affection and happiness on life satisfaction, when upper-grade pupils using Instant Messaging and Well-being.
3.There is a positive significant effect of positive affection on happiness, when upper-grade pupils using Instant Messaging and Well-being.
4.There is a positive significant effect of life satisfaction and happiness on positive relations with others (schoolmate/friend), when upper-grade pupils using Instant Messaging and Well-being.
5.There is a positive significant effect of life satisfaction and happiness on positive relations with others (parents/family), when upper-grade pupils using Instant Messaging and Well-being.
6.There is no positive significant effect of negative affect on life satisfaction and happiness, when upper-grade pupils using Instant Messaging and Well-being.
