碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 商業設計學系碩士班 === 103 === Chinese furniture has been around thousands of years, with the evolution of the times and the culture process and reform many times,it is gradually flourish in nearly two hundred years until the Ming Dynasty to foster and enhance. Ming furniture became the peak of development of Chinese furniture, Chinese furniture called the best. Whether it is useful features, compact structure, exquisite handicraft technique or beautiful lines, ensure the delicate Ming furniture have a very important place in the history of furniture. Minimalism involving various fields of culture, art, etc, in form covers a very wide range which have shape manifestations, conscious thought, to convey function, the performance of the material. Hoping minimalist style and Ming-style creating innovative style,and Ming-style furniture with a minimalist style become new Ming-style Chair. This study is divided into the following steps: First,using literature analysis collection of Ming furniture and minimalist style cases. Second, using morphological analysis to analysis various parts of the component and the name. Finally, Quantitative analysis of the integration and induction to extract the most representative of Ming furniture style which confirms minimalist style applied to the design guidelines of the Ming-style chair. The results of this study show: 1. Ming-style chair with morphology and quantitative analysis to understand the characteristics of its shape. 2. The use of a large number of lines on the Ming-style chair shape. 3. Minimalist chair shape is simpler amd single color.
