Description
Summary:碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 教育研究所碩士在職專班 === 103 === The purpose of this study is to explore relationship between ability to be alone and peer-relationship of 5th & 6th grade students at elementary level. On the one hand, double-income families and low birth rate in the current society are more popular. Therefore, those students’ ability to be alone becomes more important than before. On the other hand, those students accepted by peers in school are easy to get more self-affirmation or gain good experience of life adaptation. The methodology used in this study is a questionnaire survey. The subjects of this study were from 5th & 6th grade students of S Elementary School in Taipei City. A questionnaire was conducted by 550 copies. 500 copies were returned and valid copies were 482 copies. The major statistics methods for data analysis in this study include descriptive statistics, t-Test, ANOVA, and Pearson Product Moment Correlation. The major 5 findings of this study related to 5th & 6th grade students are shown as follows, 1. The status quo of ability to be alone and those students’ peer-relationship are both above average in general. 2. "Discipline style" on comfort level of ability to be alone and peer-exclusion of peer relationship is significantly different. 3. Both “Gender” as a whole and peer-exclusion of peer-relationship are significantly different. 4. “Born-order” on peer likeness of peer-relationship is significantly different. 5. Correlation between ability to be alone and peer-relationship is slightly positive. Finally, educational implications of this study and recommendations for future study are also proposed.
