The dim sight of passers-by in the night, weaker mental condition, and weaker crisis management raise the risk of the traffic direction in the night. Accordingly, it is firmly necessary to innovate and improve insufficiency of current equipment for night watchman. In the current research, Quality Function Deployment approach (QFD) was adopted to figure out the main problem of the equipment of night watchman. In addition, innovative problem-solving theory (Theory of Inventive Problem Solving, TRIZ) was used to construct a more efficient and more innovative design. The study showed that the augment of the power saving of solar energy equipment allows electric power to be stored and be used in the night. Then, the augment of inner air bag that reduces the force of impact meets customer requirements. In other words, the power-save and the increase of safety indeed make the product be applied in wider fields. For instance, the design can be applied to the departments which require security personnel being on duty in the night such as traffic police brigade, schools, and factories, etc.
