碩士 === 明新科技大學 === 土木工程與環境資源管理系碩士在職專班 === 103 === Abstract This study is mainly focus on the site investigation for the new farmer’s markets recently promoted in the Hsin Chu County at Zhubei Agriculture Council, Sinpu Town Farmer’s Association and Kansai Town Farmer’s Association and others. Many kinds of vegetables and fruits provided in these markets are fresh, safe, localized, diversified, and low-carbon processed. The farmer’s association supports the farmers by supplying them an exhibition place to demonstrate their farm products and to sell directly to the consumers. Normally, consumers can pay less money to buy these farm products with good quality. In addition, this farming supply system has been successfully experienced through this type of farmer’s market which already established in the suburban society areas. The main purpose of this study is to demonstrate the growing of organic vegetables and fruits at home as we lived. There are five steps of farming processes discussed herein: (1) loosening land soil, (2) ridging, (3) planting seeds and vegetables, (4) field management including weeding, applying fertilizer, irrigation, adding soil, and (5) harvesting and product treatments. The results of farming experiences can be used to develop the organic farmer’s market at the local hometown societies in Hsin Chu County. It can also provide outdoor leisure and educational functions through the farming guidance and demonstration. Schools and other extension education organizations can follow the discussions given in this study to promote their organic farming and low-carbon green life places.
