Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 土木工程學系所 === 103 === Only seventy-five percent are plains in Taiwan area. Due to the rising of land cost, much populated and change of economic construction, more civil engineering projects are constructed in crowded city. For effectively using the land space, the underground excavation is frequently proceeded. The braced retaining structure is a necessary procedure for assuring the safety during excavation. This thesis will study the relevant mechanical behavior for excavation of different open cut slope and braced sheet pile wall within sandy layers using PLAXIS numerical program. . This study performs the analysis for excavation of different open cut slope and braced sheet pile wall with probing the relevant examples using PLAXIS numerical program. From the analyzed results, it indicates that (1). The open cut slope procedure is better than vertical braced cut procedure. In the former, the horizontal displacement is relatively smaller and the shear and moment in the braced wall are also reduced. (2). For the anchored braced cut procedure, there is no apparent change of prestressed force in the tendon when the free length is over than 8 meters. (3). For the anchored braced cut procedure, it would be better when the inclination of tendon is approximately 20 degree with horizontal direction. The horizontal displacement is significantly reduced.
