碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 台灣文學與跨國文化研究所 === 103 === Abstract Shih Chu-ch’ing, who had the urge to pen biography of Taiwan, was involved in writing Roman-Fleuve, creating “ Trilogy of Taiwan.” The three books protrayed the history of migration under the Qing Dynasty, the racial problems during the Japanese colonization in Taiwan, and KMT domination to February 28 Incident. From the novels, we can see that Shih Chu-ch’ing interpreted Taiwan history as well as the history identity of Taiwanese and national identity. She also reproduced the style and features in each period of Taiwan. Clothing was a part of the interpretation of the novel focus. Clothing and accessories is essential to our daily life. In addition to the function of providing physical shelter, keeping warm and beauty, clothing and accessories can be set up self-identity and national identity through the choices of apparel. Different natonalities have different requirements for the apparel because of geography, hierarchy, customs and government policies. Meanwhile, clothing will influence all aspects of life and reflect the history and culture of change. Responding to the imprtance of clothing and accessories writing, the text studies the writing of clothing from “Trilogy of Taiwan” written by Shih Chu-ch’ing.
