Under the advancement of information technology environment, multimedia provides the film shows with models including dynamic text, music and fun multimedia animation effects to make the show even more rich and diverse. Multimedia films not only enrich people's visual and sensory experience, but also more effectively convey information to the user.
College of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science includes Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science and Information Engineering, as well as Intelligent Life Technology R & D center. The departments of this College plan their professional characteristics including the integration of electric energy technology and mechatronics, integrated circuit chip design and application, multimedia and digital content design, communications and network design, and the design of consumer electronics and control systems. There are 66 professors in the College, respectively, with special expertise. How to introduce the College to people in short effective way, especially for high school and vocational school students to enter universities, is the main purpose of this study.
This paper designs by the multimedia technology the introduction movie of College of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, Chin-Yi University of Science and Technology. Production processes use a high-resolution camera to shoot teacher-student laboratory films, student art films, and videos of other various competitions as the basic material, which is then edited by Video editing software (PowerDirector), added with special effects, inserted with captions, and added with background music, etc. Multimedia effect rendering is used to present the faculty works of the College to make people easily understand the teaching objectives and the development direction of the College.
