But for Taiwan's machinery industry, carbon footprint and water footprint calculation is not common. Therefore, this study presents a carbon footprint and water footprint assessment method for mechanical engineers can be used when designing their new machine products. This method is based on life cycle assessment. First to classify every machine components, then analyze their raw material and manufacturing process. And according to the different transport, using and recycling situations have differnt calculate methods.
