Summary: | 碩士 === 國立交通大學 === 光電工程研究所 === 103 === The thesis is focused on the study of the environmentally stable polarization maintaining mode-locked Er-doped fiber laser based on a nonlinear amplifying fiber loop for passive mode-locking. Under the studied laser structure, we adjust the main loop and the nonlinear amplifying loop pump powers to observe the changes of optical powers, optical spectra and pulse characteristics. We also adjust the optical nonlinearity in the nonlinear amplifying loop to search for a better operation point. We have successfully obtained ps order stable mode-locked pulse trains and observed interesting mode-locked lasing phenomena including multiple pulses and noise-like pulses.
