Compared with other general multilevel inverter structures, both of the quantities of power switch and conduction of power components are less in proposed structure. According to the analysis of battery discharge capacity proof, the series-battery which is used direct connection. Then the discharge capacity of battery which is located in middle position of series-battery is more than average discharge capacity of each battery after discharging balancing. It means the series-battery which is used direct connection cannot be used in battery balancing. Due to the battery discharging balancing problems, there are three battery discharging balancing strategies are proposed in this paper: the single highest priority, the group highest priority, and the single lowest priority, and quantities of battery are added. According to the simulation and experimental result, the proposed structure still cannot achieve battery discharging balancing, using the proposed three battery discharging balancing strategies. Therefore, the proposed multilevel inverter for series-battery used in battery balancing discharging is no effect, and the series-battery which is used direct connection is not suggestion for battery discharging balancing.
