Through one-group pretest-posttest design, and the questionnaire data, research results are as follows: First, the effect of novel reading to the junior high school students’ social anxiety performance: 1. After novel reading, junior high school students’ social anxiety performance didn’t become better. 2. After novel reading, junior high school students’ social anxiety performance no gender differences. Second, if novel reading can be a method to help junior high school students to overcome social anxiety performance: if we read the novel became the state's high school students overcome social anxiety tendencies method: 1. The subjects’ negative beliefs and impact become reduced. 2. The subjects in the face of similar social situations, have different cognitive appear. 3.
