Furthermore, this study was aimed to explore role performance, job satisfaction and professional commitment influence each other's path. This study adopted investigation method. The instruments were “Scale of Role Performance Made by Senior High and Vocational School Counselors,” “Scale of Job Satisfaction Made by Senior High and Vocational School Counselors,” and “Scale of Professional Commitments Made by Senior High and Vocational School Counselors.” There were 53 school counselors from continuation high school in Taiwan sampled randomly. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistic method, independent samples t test, one-way ANOVA, factor analysis, and path analysis. The finding of this study were as follows: 1. Continuation high school counselors accomplished average in terms of professional role performance, with the “direct service providers” accomplishing more, and the “educators” accomplishing less. 2. Continuation high school counselors accomplished average in terms of job satisfaction, with the “achievements and development” accomplishing more, and the “working reward” accomplishing less. 3. Continuation high school counselors accomplished more than average in terms of professional commitment, with the “professional ethics” accomplishing more, and the “research training” accomplishing less 4. Continuation high school counselors of different gender showed significantly different levels of role performance, yet showed no difference among other variables. 5. Continuation high school counselors of any variables showed no difference of job satisfaction. 6. Continuation high school counselors of different gender showed significantly different levels of professional commitment, yet showed no difference among other variables. 7. There were three paths that had effects on professional commitment from path analysis. The service of students' adaptation and job satisfaction had direct effects on professional commitment respectively. In addition, the advocate of students’ service had an indirect effect on professional commitment through job satisfaction as well.
