Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 資訊管理學系研究所 === 103 === Using e-wallet for micro-payment at stores is becoming more common recently, e.g. EasyCard. And the e-wallet has two forms, one is offline e-wallet and the other is online e-wallet. Offline e-wallet is more familiar than online e-wallet. Offline e-wallet doesn’t need to get on the Internet for verification during the payment, so it can complete checkout in short time. In contrast with online e-wallet, it is inconvenient to use, and doesn’t have additional features. For example, when the amount of online e-wallet is not enough, it can be recharged on the Internet. Thus, in order to have advantages of both e-wallet systems at the same time, we propose an agent-based e-wallet. It can handle online e-wallet transactions by agents, such as connect and verify with back-end systems immediately. The agents can let consumers and merchants reduce checkout time in the offline environment. Our e-wallet system uses asymmetric encryption system (e.g. PKI architecture) to protect communication. However, many number of agents need to communicate with electronic cash mint (ECM), so we use symmetric encryption system to improve system efficiency. The main core of our study is electronic cash (ECash), which is a short-term and anonymous certificate. ECash stores consumer’s pseudonym and is signed by ECM. When the merchant receives an ECash, the merchant just verifies whether this ECash is legal and issued by ECM. Therefore, the merchant can’t know the true identity of the consumer who used the ECash. That is, the proposed system guarantees consumer’s anonymity and achieves privacy and security of transactions.
