The data analyzed is from the questionnaire of teachers and students of higher education in the 94th academic year from Taiwan Integrated Postsecondary Education Database (TIPED). In literature, there are some empirical research show family background has positive effect on The Multiple Enrollment Programs. Thus, the study uses the description of social capital by Nan, Lin (2004a) as operational definition and finds the relative among family background, social capital and the multi-channel college admission. According to the results of the study, we gain the following conclusions: 1. Family background and Admission by Recommendation is relatively obvious, especially in family income. The percentage of getting admitted with Admission by recommendation is obviously higher for Middle-income family than for low-income family, which means middle-income family has advantage of Admission by Recommendation. 2. Social capital is positively related to Family background. It means the different among parents’ education, careers and family income shows on social capital. 3. The study based on logistic regression show the multi-channel college admission influence by family background and social capital. But different types of social capital have different effects on Admission by Recommendation
