In addition, the soft coral, Nephthea chabrolii, collected off the coast of Southern Taiwan, yielded three known compounds, including a sterol, 24-methylenecholesterol (4), and two benzoquinone derivatives, chabrolohydroxybenzoquinone A (5) and 2,7-dimethyl-2-[E,E]-4',8',12'-trimethyl trideca-3',7',11'-trienyl]-2H-1-benzopyran-6-ol (6). The structures of above metabolites 1–6 were established by spectroscopic methods and by comparison of the spectroscopic data of these compounds with those of related metabolites. Compounds 1–6 were not cytotoxic toward various tumor cells. The possible activities of these compounds will be assayed in the future. Ping-Jyun Sung 宋秉鈞 2015 學位論文 ; thesis 127 |
