It also acknowledged the status quo of principals’ positive leadership and teachers’ well-being of elementary schools in Hualien County, as well as the differences among those teachers with specific background. With questionnaire, elementary school teachers in Hualien county, as the study population, were proceeded the stratified random sampling to collect 214 valid samples. Two related questionnaires were used to measure the major variables. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The main findings were as followings: (1) The elementary school teachers scored over average on principals’ positive leadership, with “positive atmosphere” the best, and “positive relationship” coming the lowest. (2) The elementary school teachers scored over average on well-being, with “life satisfaction” the best, and “positive affect” coming the lowest. (3) The teachers who got higher scores on principals’ positive leadership were those who were with more than 21 years teaching experience, bachelor degree, and in the central district of Hualien. (4) The teachers who got higher scores on well-being were those who were over 46 years old, and with more than 21 years teaching experience. (5) There was significantly positive correlation between principals’ positive leadership and teachers’ well-being. (6) Principals’ positive leadership significantly predicted teachers’ well-being. Based on the findings above, some suggestions were provided for educational authorities, school administrative agencies, elementary school teachers, and further researchers.
