Also, research data shows that breast cancer is the top of cancer risk among female cancer. Breast cancer has 1.38 million in newly diagnosis, which contains 23% of all cancer cases. Moreover, breast cancer has 14% mortalities of all cancer cases. The standardized incidence and mortality rate is 39/100,000 and 12.5/100,000 person. As to Taiwan, according to the group of cancer registry data shows the incidence rate has been up leveled over decades. The standardized incidence rate has been elevated from 11.86 to 63.16 since 1979 to 2011. Moreover, breast cancer became top of incidence rate in Taiwan since 1994. As to mortality rate, breast cancer is the fourth of all malignancies. To conclude that, breast cancer is important whether in our country or overseas. Our research is a retrospective cohort study over 12 years. Our objective is to evaluate the correlation between age and mortality rate after breast surgeries. Moreover, with different surgery treatments, analyze the recurrence and survival outcomes. We took National Health Insurance Research Database as our datasets. By the using LHID 2000, combine with catastrophic illness registries and other detailed drug treatments. Select breast cancer which bases on ICD-9-CM code: 174.0 to 174.9. Set death criteria as catastrophic records and lost-of-follow up. Furthermore we adjusted radiotherapy, chemical therapy and tamoxifen treatment. As the result, full underwent breast surgery have a higher risk of death (HR = 1.436, p <0.001), after adjusting for age, comorbidities, radiation therapy, chemotherapy and Tamoxifen treatment and other variables, the implementation of the whole breast removal surgery patients whose also significantly higher risk of death in the case. We found that compared to patients receiving breast-conserving surgery, receiving whole breast surgery patients have a higher risk of death, regardless of whether the combined postoperative radiation therapy, chemotherapy or hormonal therapy Tamoxifen, the effect of surgery and survival situations relevance the impact is quite large, it is recommended for the future of Taiwan can choose female breast cancer surgery preoperative surgical considerations on the multi-effects for the patient.
